The recent Chrome browser v91 updates of MacOS and Linux do not support the U2F connection through which DeKey and metamask have been interacting with Ledger devices.
In addition to connecting via U2F, Dekey additionally supports the option to connect via Ledger Live Bridge.
1. Install the Ledger Live desktop app
2. Dekey Settings > General Settings > Enable Ledger Live
Then try connecting to Ledger again. (requires running Ethereum app on Ledger)
If you see the following error message when connecting the ledger, proceed as follows.
* Please enable Dekey Settings > General Settings > Use Ledger Live.
* After connecting the Ledger device to the PC via USB, run the Ethereum app on the Ledger device.
* Select the account icon > Select Hardware Wallet Connection > Click the Connect button
* Click the Open Ledger Live button to run Ledger Live.
* Select the "Open" button on the Ledger Live screen to connect Dekey and Ledger Live.
*** Please keep the Ledger Live with running.
* Select the account icon > Select Hardware Wallet Connection > Click the Connect button
* Select the account you want to connect to Dekey from the Ledger account list and click the 'Link Account' button to complete the connection.
